“It’s become a joke.”

Emma Thompson might have stolen the show in Love Actually with that single scene where Karen learns her husband is having an affair, but we all fondly remember her daughter Daisy, right?

She was the spirited gal who was chosen to play the first lobster in the school nativity play and who seemed sweetly oblivious to her parents’ marital issues.

It’s been 15 years since the film’s release and Lulu Popplewell, who played Daisy, is now 27.

She was 11 at the time of filming and joked to Digital Spy that she peaked then.

“Every Christmas, people still bring Love Actually up to me and I get a bit awkward because I was such a small part in it,” she said.

“It’s become a joke. I clearly peaked at age 11 and there aren’t many crustacean-based acting roles going these days – it’s a niche skill.”

Lulu has since made a name for herself as a stand-up comedian but said she’d love to try her hand at acting again.

“I’m looking to get back into acting – specifically comedy acting – but acting is tougher to break into than stand-up in a way.”
