Graham Linehan has said that he will never write new episodes for Father Ted.
The man who, along with Arthur Matthews, helped pen the hit show said that he doesn’t think anything would be gained from bringing it back.
When asked recently about the prospect of returning to the world of Craggy Island, he explained: “I would never bring Dougal back.
“Someone suggested to me a way of doing it but I am totally a different person now. We have said everything we have to about the imaginary world of priests.”
While we are saddened by the fact that it's gone for good, we'd rather it be left as it is.
