Ah, here.

When you think Bake Off, you think tent.

That’s all there is to it. The show has been known for many things including lions made out of bread, soggy bottoms, and Paul Hollywood’s abundance of handshakes.

But it’s also known for the tent and the intense stress, the tears, and the friendships that have been forged inside of it.

It’s hardly surprising then that the fact that Bake Off is ditching the tent for a while for next week’s final is coming as a shock to a lot of people.

According to The Mirror, next week’s all important technical challenge will take place outside of the tent to ensure that the bakers don’t have access to any of the baking utensils they’re used to.

Yeah, confusing.

“You won’t need ovens or hobs for this challenge,” a source told the paper the bakers were told. “It should be simple, but not everything goes to plan.”

Doesn’t sound simple at all, mate.

Last night’s instalment of the show saw beloved Briony sent home after failing to impress the judges with her patisserie showstopper in which she may or may not have mixed up her sugar with her salt.

Grim.

That leaves Rahul, Ruby, and Kim-Joy battling it out for the crown – a squad that is probably one of the youngest groups of bakers in the GBBO final.

It all kicks off next Tuesday at 8pm on Channel 4.
