Harry: I don’t think any of the royals want to be king or queen

Harry's gotten very honest in his latest interview.

Harry gets real.

We’ve often pondered about what life would be like as a royal – on the plus side, you’d have pots of money and a life of luxury, but on the flip side, everything you did would be played out in the public eye.

In a new, in-depth interview, Prince Harry is very honest about the reality of royal life.

“We are involved in modernizing the British monarchy. We are not doing this for ourselves but for the greater good of the people,” he told Newsweek.

“Is there any one of the royal family who wants to be king or queen? I don’t think so, but we will carry out our duties at the right time.”

Wonder how his granny would feel about him saying that.

He also spoke about how difficult it was to have to mourn his mother so publicly after her death when he was 12.

“My mother had just died, and I had to walk a long way behind her coffin, surrounded by thousands of people watching me while millions more did on television.”

“I don’t think any child should be asked to do that, under any circumstances. I don’t think it would happen today.”

And, incredibly, despite growing up under such scrutiny, Harry seems very determined to be as ‘normal’ as possible.

“People would be amazed by the ordinary life William and I live. I do my own shopping. Sometimes, when I come away from the meat counter in my local supermarket, I worry someone will snap me with their phone.

“Even if I was king, I would do my own shopping.”

Imagine, a man who’s determined to get down to Tesco. Meghan Markle is a lucky lady.
