This Harry Potter screening in Cork has a big twist and looks set to be unmissable

Amy Nolan

The event has already sold out twice.

A unique event is taking place at Camden Fort Meagher in Crosshaven this March where Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban will be screened in a secret underground chamber.

The event is being run by The Pop Up Movie Club and the initial screenings taking place on Friday, March 1 and Saturday, March 2 are already sold out.

Due to popular demand, a third date has been announced and tickets are now on sale for Saturday, March 9 – but be quick about it if you’re interested!

Doors are at 7pm for the all-ages event, with the film commencing at 7:30pm sharp. Alcohol is not permitted and tickets cost €17.30 including booking fee (with a limit of ten per person).

Over 400 years old, more than 65 percent of the former British Military Fort is located underground in a labyrinth of tunnels, so you couldn’t ask for a more fitting location to cosy up and watch HP.

For further information and to purchase tickets, visit the official website. Unfortunately, you’ll have to make your own arrangements getting to the venue, as Night Busses aren’t available – although you may be able to hitch a ride from Buckbeak!
