Believe me, as the new [programming executive] coming in, if I could get them to do more, I would take 10 more seasons. But we take their lead on what they think they can do the best version of the show.”There may be some good news for GoT fans, however. Showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss have said that eighth and final season will only six episodes, but Bloys says that episode order isn't set in stone and could increase. EW also pressed him on any potential spin-offs for the world's most popular TV show, and he replied:
“We’ve talked about it. It’s something I’m not opposed to, but of course it has to make sense creatively... I’m open to it.
