The headliners for Electric Picnic have been announced

Laura Holland

Finally – we know who will be playing.

Electric Picnic will take up residence in Stradbally Estate again this year, and continues its tradition of having one of the best festival line-ups in town.

With 151 days to go, they’ve just announced the headline acts for the three-day festival and they include Duran Duran (Sunday), The XX (Friday) and A Tribe Called Quest (Saturday).

Taking place from September 1st to 3rd, other acts confirmed are Run the Jewels, Pete Tong, A Interpol, London Grammar, Chaka Khan and Father John Misty.

Last year saw the introduction of the swimming area, set in the idyllic surroundings of the Stradbally Hall estate. It also hosted huge brands such as Bacardi, Three, Orchard Thieves, Heineken and Electric Ireland, who each had their own activations dotted around the grounds.

Sadly this year’s tickets are completely sold out but if you do happen to get your hands on a pair, there’s an epic weekend in store.
