Here’s what happened on the first night of the X Factor’s Six Chair Challenge

Keeley Ryan

The X Factor‘s Six Chair Challenge kicked off tonight.

One of the more brutal stages of the competition, the first two categories began to be whittled down to the final six – who would ultimately be headed to the Judge’s Houses.

And while this year’s edition has the Golden Buzzer – essentially, a button for the judges to press when they’re absolutely sure they want to keep an act/won’t want to swap them out – it didn’t make it any less brutal to watch.

Here’s what happened on the first night of the Six Chair Challenge…
