Control yourself because season two of Killing Eve is going to air really soon

Jade Hayden

Unreal.

If you’ve been at all up-to-date with what’s been going on during awards season, you’ll probably be fairly familiar with Killing Eve.

The BBC America show has been picking up awards left, right, and centre thanks to Sandra Oh’s versatility, Jodie Comer’s stunning accent and birdlike face, and Fiona Shaw frightening authority.

It’s a great show and we – like most people – need and deserve more of it.

And while the first season of Killing Eve only aired over here last September, it turns out that we won’t have to wait all that long until season two drops onto our screens.

Well, in America, that is. But you know, you do what you have to do.

Season two of the drama thriller will be premiering on April 7, 2019 on BBC America – which is essentially only two or so months until we’ve got more Villanelle and Eve in our lives.

The end of season one saw the women face-off in an apartment-based stand off that had equal parts intimacy and stabbing.

Essentially, it was an intense cliffhanger that left audiences both furious and absolutely gagging for more.

And according to Jodie Comer, we won’t be disappointed when we eventually get it.

The actor told ELLE that season two is going to pick up right where season one left off, meaning that (spoilers), there’s going to be a lot of blood and a lot of lust.

She said:

“Obviously Eve stabbed Villanelle, let’s not forget that, but what’s going to be really interesting for the audience is how Villanelle reacts to that.

“It may not be as they suspect it will be.”

Comer also suggested that Villanelle and Eve’s relationship is going to be fairly different going into season two due to the dynamic shift triggered by the last episode.

Killing Eve debuted over here a solid five months after it did in the US – but judging by the show’s popularity, we can only go ahead and assume (and hope) that they’ll give it to us a whole lot sooner this time around.

Please.

We need it.
