Here’s What Happened on The X Factor, Episode Two

It hasn't been a good day for The X Factor.

Rebecca McKnight

That’s a wrap on our first weekend! If you missed Saturday’s fun, you can catch up here. Below, the highlights from Sunday’s show.

We got a ready-made boyband first, in the form of New Wave. They think they’re a “contemporary N*Sync” and they sang Bye Bye Bye. Then the judges said bye, bye, bye.

Then the princes of plaid took over, with The First Kings taking to the stage. They got a rapturous reception from the audience, which was a pretty good sign from the outset. They wanted to sing Uptown Funk but Cheryl wasn’t too impressed. They did it anyway, and also brought along their pre-made video. Because of course. They killed it.

Chloe Paige was next. The market trader had her entire entourage in tears with a cover of Katy B’s Will You Forgive Me Now and was crying herself by the end. Standing ovation from the judges and a LOT of love.

Polish singer Adrianna was up next. She’s a fashion illustrator and Rita loved her style. Her Boogie Wonderland was one of those auditions.

That started off the “weird” section of the show with the “I hold one foot up when I sing” lady.

Lauren and Corina from the Netherlands weren’t much better – they did indeed need a hero. Possibly in the form of a voice coach.

Seann Miley Moore from Australia rocked up next in another show-stopping outfit. But he had the talent to back up his dramatic entrance, with a performance of Freddie Mercury’s The Show Must Go On that had the arena on its feet.

We barely got a chance to catch our breath before Josh Daniel sang Jealous by Labrinth. It was the first sad story of the season and everyone got a little choked up when the singer spoke about the death of his best friend. The song was beautiful and he’s definitely one to watch.
