Here’s What To Expect From Love/Hate Season Six

Even if we do have a while to wait for it.

Season five of Love/Hate had a dramatic finale when Nidge was shot by Patrick, leaving the episode on a cliffhanger.

The new season is set to focus on Patrick and his background, bringing a new family to the fore of the show.

Although filming hasn’t started for season six, planning is in full swing and it sounds like we can expect to see new characters in the show.

A source told The Irish Mirror: “While scenes are not yet being filmed, locations and new talent are being scouted for Love/Hate’s big comeback.

“Bringing the focus to Patrick and his background will open up the show to a whole new legion of fans.”

“Tom Vaughan Lawlor [Nidge] is happy to pass the gauntlet on to Patrick. He was really impressed with his acting ability this year and he knows Stuart will write something amazing for him” continued the source.

Speaking to The Mirror last year, the show’s writer and creator Stuart Carolan said: “Stuart is fascinated by the Traveller community.

“It was the only storyline that really interested him in season five and now Patrick has killed Nidge it seems a natural progression to follow Patrick’s story”.

We might have to wait a while but introducing new characters and storylines should make for another gripping season.

Tom Vaughan-Lawlor, who played Nidge, previously said: “The last five years working on Love/Hate have been an incredible and unforgettable journey for me.
