One man got a bit too drunk and another got stood up.

Among a long list of shows that shouldn't work but definitely do, First Dates holds a special place in our hearts. Ever since the Irish version was introduced we've been loving it even more, between the brilliant Irish humour, the dates getting a bit drunk and the fact that you'll actually know at least one person per series. On Thursday night, the second episode of the hit dating show kicked off, with some memorable moments throughout. Here's what stood out to us: Susan had a tough time in life but was still brilliant craic on her date.  Susan, who was married to a man for 20 years spoke about how she hid her sexuality for years due to fear of being rejected by the church she loved. After coming out in her 40s she decided to give love another go by applying for First Dates. But when Ciaran went to the toilet Bami rang her friend to point out that he was 'all buckfast, buckfast, buckfast' and we quickly learn that Ciaran was more than a little tipsy. After taking a few moments in the restroom to compose himself, Ciaran heads back to the table where the pair continue to hit it off.
