Maybe they’ll keep her on after this, wha??

In a report that has shocked absolutely nobody, Holly Willoughby has had a striking effect on this year’s I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here ratings.

Because of course she has.

She’s Holly Willoughby.

The This Morning presenter may have brought an array of nice outfits with her to the Australian jungle but she’s also brought something else – lots more viewers.

The Express reports that this year’s instalment of the reality TV show has given ITV its highest ever consolidated ratings, with an average of 12.6 million viewers per night.

This is up by 1.8 million compared to what the programme is expected to take it on any given night.

“The show is up by 1.8 million viewers and +7 share points on the equivalent episodes to last year’s series,” ITV told the paper in a statement.

Include the ITV player in this and the average ratings per night increase to about 13.1 million.

Not too bad for a day’s work, eh?

Holly, however, is merely standing in as Ant’s temporary replacement before his inevitable return to television work some time next year.

The presenter announced that he was taking a break from TV following a drunk driving incident that saw him arrested, fined, and banned from driving.

He is expected to return to work in 2019.
