How I Met Your Mother has a special place in our hearts despite the fairly disappointing final episode.
The lovable characters, the smart timelines and often silly story-lines made us appreciate the show.
After HIMYM finished in March 2014, there was talk of a female spin-off called How I Met Your Dad which would be from Tracy’s point of view.
However, CBS announced in 2014 that the pilot would not air because they did not approve of it due to casting reasons.
Now it seems that the show may see the light of day again, but with some major changes.
The new show, How I Met Your Father, will not be related to the original show with Ted, Barney and the gang.
Instead, it will be a completely different woman telling the story of how she met the father of her children.
While we’re sad it won’t be connected to the original show, we were excited to learn that it will be written by the creators of This is Us.
If you haven’t watch This Is Us yet, you need to. It’s a heartwarming well written show starring Milo Ventimiglia and Mandy Moore.
