My heart is going out to Anne at the moment. It’s hard to cover being overwhelmed! She is going to do so much for raising awareness of autism. Massive respect to her! #ImACeleb

People can be so nasty. Anne Hegerty has aspergers syndrome, she's so brave to even give it a try in the jungle. So many other people like her will see they can be brave and face their fears too. #ImACeleb

I’m so proud of the campmates for rallying around Anne and helping her push through. Autism is incredibly complex and I hope she knows how many of us (autism mum here) are rooting for her. I really feel she can do this and am so happy she’s with such a lovely bunch. #ImACeleb

Anne was diagnosed with Asperger syndrome in 2007 after she watched a TV show and recognised the symptoms. She's spoken openly about it in interviews over the years, saying it helped lead to her job on The Chase.Me not being able to sleep wondering if Anne is okay #ImACeleb pic.twitter.com/hqWytRBpCE

"When you're on the autistic spectrum, one of the things you do, it's what's called perseverating," she said on Loose Women.
"You get interested in something and you just get really interested, you just have to know everything about it.
"You go completely down the rabbit hole, you can't think about anything else, you have to learn everything there is to know about this particular subject. "
