Husband sketches everyday moments with his wife and it’s so adorable

This level of adorableness is up there with whimsical socks, the yodelling Walmart kid and dare I say it, baby llamas.

Forget a nice text or a heartfelt note, imagine if someone was besotted enough with you to create sketches of the everyday mundane moments you shared together? Well that’s exactly what one American man has become famous for doing.

Curtis Wiklund and his wife Jordin are wedding photographers by trade, but in his spare time, Curtis sketches his daily life with his wife and children.

3 car seats in my Subaru! Funny, it’s emotional for us seeing all the kids in the car together. . PS – Parent Tip for anyone in this season with 2+ kids: I thought we were going to have to get a minivan when we were pregnant with Amelia. We couldn’t fit 3 car seats in my car, and I panicked a bit, because we weren’t financially ready to buy a minivan… and add that I love my Subaru… I wasn’t excited. After some research, I started hearing about these ‘narrow car seats’. Long story short, it’s tight, but these car seats fit and it actually feels really sweet. Cozy in a way. I’m sure we’ll have to get a minivan at some point in our lives, but we like clean and simple, and for now: This fits us.) . (Also, parent to parent, these car seats are a bit pricy. But if like us, you are literally comparing these to buying a minivan, it’s worth it. They’re extremely safe, and extremely narrow (I drive a Crosstrek). They also happened to be very clean, pretty, and simple in design too, which my ‘aesthetically particular’ wife loves ?) . Thanks @clekinc for making these. #clekyourride

The couple from Southeast Michigan travel around the world working as wedding photographers and have become renowned for their work.

Aside from their professional talent however, Curtis has garnered attention for his beautiful drawings.

His artwork is seemingly quite simplistic, but the pieces are nonetheless very impactful. Curtis undoubtedly has a talent for making the ordinary moment seem extraordinary. His drawings have a rawness, an authenticity and a vulnerability to them.

While some moments highlight the hardships of their lives, such as the 2016 sketch with the simple, harrowing title of “miscarriage”, many others capture the precious small victories of everyday life. He captures the complexity of human experience and manages to effectively communicate it in a non-verbal format.

In particular, Curtis’ illustrations of the special moments he shares with his wife, from winter walks to funny squabbles to end-of-day cuddles have garnered tremendous attention.

On his website, Curtis expresses the unique bond the couple have:

“Together, Jordin and I are one artistic entity. She is the heartbeat. I am hands. Forgive me if I say ‘we’ when you thought it was just ‘me’. I can’t help it. Everything comes from the fusion of her plus me.”

Curtis’ work has even caught the attention of celebrities and was lauded by the likes of Ashton Kutcher and George Takei. Even rapper, Lil Wayne wrote:

“Every woman deserves this kind of love.”

Yes we do because we’re all queens.
