James Haskell was reportedly there to greet Caitlyn Jenner at the end of the bridge as she left I’m A Celeb last night.
Fans were left “bawling” when it appeared as if nobody was there to greet Caitlyn upon her exit from the I’m A Celeb jungle during last night’s episode.
However, The Daily Mail report that the former campmates had a tearful, off-screen reunion after Caitlyn walked off the bridge. She then shared her delight as her partner, Sophia Hutchins, surprised her later that day.
An I’m A Celeb insider told the publication that James asked to head out to meet Caitlyn because he wanted to “make sure she had someone there.”
“James met Caitlyn when she came over the bridge and sat with her for the entire leaving process,” the source said.
“Caitlin walked over the bridge, exclaimed to James ‘it’s you!’ They embraced, both were welling up. James accompanied Caitlin throughout the entire eviction process and then when it was over they went for a Starbucks together to talk about the show and life in general. There’s a definite real friendship there.”
The Olympian was emotional as she left the jungle last night. But just a few hours later, she shared her delight at getting her hair and makeup done again – and her “big surprise” which was in her hotel room.
“Just got out of the jungle and finally getting my hair and make-up done and boy do I need it,” Caitlyn said to the camera. “Haven’t had it in weeks but when I came out of the jungle, where I had a lot of great friends there but I had a big surprise when I got back to the hotel…
“Sophia’s here!”
She panned the camera to her left to show Sophia smiling excitedly next to her.
