As long as there are creepy crawlies.

Another series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here is on its way and we won’t be returning to Australia any time soon.

Just like last year, the latest season is set to be filmed in Gwrych Castle near Abergele in North Wales as the restrictions around travel are still unclear when it comes to the original location.

Due to the pandemic, producers were forced to find somewhere within the UK for the series to take place as it was unable to have the cast and crew travel over to Oz.

With cities across Australia currently in lockdowns and cases rising amid the Delta variant’s spread, the show will be in Wales for yet another year.

Katie Rawcliffe, ITV head of entertainment commissioning, said: “We can confirm today that we’ll be returning to Wales for the 2021 series of I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!

“We’ve always said we have contingencies in place for the series if the Covid situation continued to bring uncertainty, and after a highly successful run at the castle last year we’re pleased that we can return there.

“I have no doubt the production team will produce another hugely entertaining series.”

Richard Cowles, director of unscripted at Lifted Entertainment, which produces the programme, added: “With the continued uncertainty around Covid and international travel we have taken the decision not to return to our home in Australia for the 2021 series.

“We’re excited to return to Gwrych Castle.

“The last series was a huge success and we were made to feel so welcome by everyone locally and can’t wait to see everyone again.”

Ant and Dec are both making their returns to the show for another series, with Ant saying he was excited for it to return to the castle.

While he said he will miss another year of sunshine out in Australia, the pair felt very welcomed by the small Welsh town last year and would be happy to film there again.
