I’m A Celeb’s James Haskell says Cliff Parisi asked him to ‘throw’ Reckoning Trial

I’m A Celebrity’s Jame Haskell has said Cliff Parisi asked him to “throw” the Reckoning Trial.

The former rugby player, who was the fourth contestant eliminated from this year’s series, made the confession during ITV2 spin-off Extra Camp.

He had been accused of trying to “sabotage” Cliff during a trial where immunity was up for grabs, after he was nominated to replace the Call The Midwife actor, who was ruled out of taking part on medical grounds.

“It was a bit weird with the drinking challenge, with Cliff, because beforehand [in camp], he said to me, ‘I’m not liking it, I want to leave, please don’t win’,” James said on Extra Camp, as he addressed the claims he had ‘sabotaged’ Cliff’s chances at immunity [via The Mirror].

“So I basically said okay, I went up and saw I was against Myles and said, ‘Cliff’s got my back and said I’ll buy you a pint and dinner if you don’t win for me’.”

He added that he was “really competitive”, so he had to stop and slow down when he realised he was beating Myles.

“But then Caitlyn, bless her, she can’t hear very well… She’d heard me say something, so was like, ‘What? What did you say? Don’t let Cliff win?’,” James continued.

“I was like, ‘Caitlyn, shut up! We’ve got it all under control!’ ‘I don’t know what got broadcast but they [viewers] sometimes don’t see those bits where you help them out.”
