This is what we like to see.

Indiependence is coming BACK to Mitchelstown this year for another (practically) sold-out three-day festival featuring a stellar lineup with the likes of Lewis Capaldi, Bastille, Disciples, Biffy Clyro and Gavin James taking to the grounds over the three days.

And, in an effort to remain eco-friendly, Indiependence has introduced some changes to this year’s festival to help reduce waste, the use of plastic and hopefully litter too.

Here’s some welcomed changes to this year’s festival

A Heineken “cup return back” scheme will operate throughout the weekend. For every 10 cups you collect, you can get €2 at the return hut on the festival grounds.

All bottled water on site will be in biodegradable bottles.

All food vendors at INDIE19 will use biodegradable and compostable utensils only.

Aside from this, organisers are also asking patrons to use the recycling bins provided, return beer cups and most importantly to take your tent home on Monday.

You can check out all the T&Cs of the festival here as well as the line up over here.

It’s going to be a good one!
