Ireland’s own Love Island is coming to an island off Galway

But is he your type ar pháipéar?

Dying to be on Love Island? Don’t hold your breath.

We were all gripped to this year’s series but if you were hoping to get on next year’s show to find love and/or land a few of Instagram sponsorship deals, you might be out of luck.

Over 80,000 people have already applied for the 2018 series, but if you can do without the sun then you might want to keep the third weekend in September free.

The Aran Island of Inis Oírr will soon play host to Sorcas an Ghrá, Ireland’s very own Love Island.

The singles weekend is coming to the island from 16 to 18 September and promises to be a little different to its UK counterpart.

Rather than hanging by a pool or undergoing lie detector tests, singles will take part in activities including speed dating, circus workshops, romantic walks under the stars, fire shows and tag rugby.

If you have cúpla focal and are up for a bit of craic, you’ll be well up for this weekend away – think of it as Irish college but one where your supervisors are actively trying to make sure everyone gets off with one another. Iontach!

Tickets for the event are €150 and are available from Feicim.com.
