The four-star d hotel in Drogheda has launched a package called ‘Duvet Day at the d’ – and it’s just as relaxing as it sounds.
Invite your favourite couch potato for an overnight stay and you’ll receive a junk food hamper on arrival, a beer bucket and a selection of popular DVDs (including GOT) to chill out and pig out with. The following morning you’ll enjoy a full Irish breakfast in bed for €129 per room, sharing.
For those with a little more get up and go, budding Iron islanders can enjoy guided paddling tours on the Boyne River in hand crafted traditional Kerry Naomhog currachs – the world’s only Game of Thrones experience using actual boats from the TV show.
The best part? If it’s just the Duvet Day you’re after, the only thing you need to pack is pyjamas.
