The Isle of Dogs movie trailer is equal parts confusing and cute

We’re not quite sure what to say about this.

The first trailer for Wes Anderson’s Isle of Dogs has landed, and while incredibly cute… we don’t really know what to make of it.

Since the success of Fantastic Mr Fox went global, we were looking forward to his next adaptation, and while a tad strange, it still looks like a great movie.

And with the likes of Bryan Cranston, Yoko Ono, Scarlett Johansson and Bill Murray doing voice overs, we’re sure to be entertained.

The film centres around an apocalyptic future, where dogs are sent away to Trash Island because there’s too many of them on Earth.

However, some people are noticing that while the movie is based in Japan, all of the dogs speak English… and the humans use their native Japanese:
