James Bay has cut off all his hair and we barely recognised him

Those long locks. That wide-brimmed hat.

James Bay has become associated with his signature look, however, in a recent trip to the salon, Bay became a whole new person thanks to a whole new do. Walking the red carpet at last night’s EMAs, James went unrecognised by many after his drastic transformation. Sharing a picture of his new look on Instagram, the comment section was overflowing with shocked fans who couldn't believe the difference a shorter haircut could make.

Yes, it’s pretty incredible the power a good haircut can have, and James’ new look is a win for us. And it wasn’t just a few inches James said goodbye to, he also left his favourite hat at home on this occasion. Twitter quickly questioned whether it was actually James Bay at all, however, after the initial introduction period, it seems fans of James’ are now a fan of his new haircut.

“Wait a minute but James Bay cut his hair and got rid of his hat. OMG he looks like an entirely new man,” wrote one fan. “OK, so James Bay has cut his hair off at first I was like no but now I’m kind of liking it.”
