James Patrice is starring in the Olympia panto this Christmas and EEEK!
It's very early to be mentioning the 'C' word but we'll make an exception for this brilliant news.
James Patrice, one of Ireland's favourite social media stars, is set to star in the Olympia Theatre's Christmas panto this year.
Dubliner James is taking on the role of the genie in Polly and the Magic Lamp, a take on classic pantomime Aladdin.
He shared the news on his Instagram this morning, admitting that he was surprised to have been asked to take part.
"Beyond excited to be playing The Genie in this year’s @theolympiapanto!," he wrote.
"To be sharing the stage with a PHENOM group of people is a mahoosive cherry on top.
"It’s going to be a fabulous festive season gals."
James is just one of a fairly stellar ensemble cast for the production.
It will also star Dancing With The Stars contestants Jake Carter and Erin McGregor, as well as Ryan Andrews of Fair City fame.
Mrs Brown's Boys actor Rory Cowan will reprise his role as the Olympia panto dame.
He was a last-minute replacement for comedian Al Porter, who stepped away from the show after allegations of sexual misconduct.
The production will be directed by Simon Delaney.
