Jennifer Aniston says she dreams about rebooting Friends – and teases possible spin-off

We would SO watch it.

Rebooting beloved TV series seems to pretty much be the norm nowadays.

Will & Grace; ALF; Sabrina the Teenage Witch; Buffy the Vampire Slayer; Charmed and Clarissa Explains It All are just some of the shows that are going to be getting the remake treatment (or have already).

And, if Jennifer Aniston gets her way, it looks like we may soon be adding another one to the list.

Ever since the show ended in 2004, fans of Friends have been hoping to see Joey, Monica, Ross, Chandler, Phoebe and Rachel on screen once again – and the hype around the idea only grew after Netflix added all 236 episodes earlier this year.

As it turns out, we’re not the only ones hoping for a reboot.

Speaking to InStyle for their September issue, the actress admit that she still dreams about reprising her role as Rachel Green – and that some of the former co-stars float the idea of a Friends reboot from time to time.

She said:

“Before that show ended, people were asking if we were coming back.

“Courteney [Cox] and Lisa [Kudrow] and I talk about it. I fantasize about it.

“It really was the greatest job I ever had. I don’t know what it would look like today, but you never know.

“So many shows are being successfully rebooted.”

Not everyone from our favourite group of friends its on board with the idea, though.

She added:

“I know Matt LeBlanc doesn’t want to be asked that question anymore.

“But maybe we could talk him into it.”

But even if it isn’t possible to get the whole gang back together for a reboot, the 49-year-old says that there is a different kind of show she would reboot with some of them.

She said:

“Or we just give it some time and then Lisa, Courteney, and I could reboot The Golden Girls and spend our last years together on wicker furniture.”
