Fair play.
J.K. Rowling is an avid Twitter user and she’s had some stellar put-downs in recent times (remember this one supporting Serena Williams?!)
A tweet sent last night is getting a lot of attention thanks to a rather epic pun, derived from Chamillionare’s song Ridin’.
They see me Rowlin’
They hatin’ https://t.co/dfiqou7vpD— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) February 17, 2016
The popular author’s response relates to a screenshot shared by Glasgow East MP Natalie McGarry.
Natalie apologised for saying she had shared a screenshot which inaccurately reflected a comment made by Rowling.
Regards a previous discussion with JK Rowling, I apologise for using a screen grab which didn’t give context to the conversation.

The particular screen grab from JK Rowling didn’t give the correct context to her relationship with a tweeter, so for that, I apologise.

Scottish author Kevin Williamson then got in on the conversation and advised Natalie not to apologise.
As always, J.K. wasn’t one to sit back and so she sent her song lyric inspired tweet, with Chamillionaire himself replying.
