John Partridge To Return For Eastenders’ 30th Anniversary

Earlier this month, it was revealed that Tanya Branning, played by Jo Joyner, will return for Eastenders' 30th anniversary celebrations. However, Tanya won't be the only familiar face on Albert Square as Christian Clarke (John Partridge) is also coming back for next month's episodes. Christian is to attend his sister Jane's wedding to Ian and there's sure to be dramatic scenes as this is around the same time Lucy Beale's killer is revealed. Lucy's funeral was the last time John appeared on the show and the actor has said he is looking forward to getting back to the square. "I am honoured to be returning to EastEnders at this most exciting time to celebrate 30 years of the show, and more importantly to find out who killed Lucy!" Christian pictured with his on-screen sister Jane Executive producer, Dominic Treadwell-Collins, said that Jane couldn't get married without her brother by her side. "How could Jane get married to Ian (again) without her brother there? "Johnny Partridge and Christian Clarke are loved by the audience and his EastEnders family, and we are all thrilled to have him back for our anniversary. "And we'll be putting his extensive theatre experience to good use, as he is plunged into EastEnders' live week" said the producer.
