It’s back! Here are the guests for the first Late Late of the season

Be honest - you missed it.

Be honest, you missed it, didn’t you?

September is officially here, which means that summer is over, schools and colleges are about to return and the Late Late Show is back on our screens on Friday nights for the foreseeable future.

This season will be the show’s 56th and here’s who Ryan will be getting acquainted with for the best part of three hours this evening.

Henry and Deirdre Shefflin

Arguably the greatest hurler of all time, Kilkenny’s Henry and his wife Deirdre will join Ryan to talk about this weekend’s All-Ireland hurling final between Galway and Waterford and what life is like now he’s removed from the inter-county bubble.

Henry and Deirdre will also open up, for the first time, about their son Henry Jnr’s progress following a terrible lawnmower accident last summer.

Ryan Hennessy and Jimmy Rainsford will discuss what has been a stratospheric rise to fame in Ireland in the last couple of years, which has led to them selling out the 3 Arena twice over.

They’ll also be performing their brand new single from a brand new album, which you’re likely to be hearing a lot of over the coming months.

Megan Halvey-Ryan

When viewers last met Megan Halvey-Ryan she had been waiting 18 months for surgery to correct a double curvature on her spine and received word just hours before her Late Late appearance that her surgery had been booked in. Her appearance on the show provoked a national outcry.

Thankfully, Megan has now had her surgery and along with her mum Sharon, she will fill viewers in on how her recovery has gone since.

Dr Eva Orsmond

Renowned for a no-nonsense attitude when it comes to obesity in Ireland, Orsmond has explored the realities of poverty in this country for her new documentary, Ireland’s Health Divide.

Dr Eva will be discussing that documentary with Ryan as well as explaining why where you are born and raised has a massive impact on how long you live.

Ireland’s most expensive lamb

Yep, you read that right.
