Liam Payne speaks out about fatherhood for the first time

He's broken his silence.

It's only a mere days ago that the internet went wild when Cheryl's hair stylist shared a snap of a baby's hand – prompting wild speculation that it was indeed baby Payne.

The world has yet to get a proper glimpse of the already famous tot, but while away with work in Los Angeles Liam couldn't help to gush about his infant son when some fans approached him outside a restaurant.

"He’s great, he’s good. I love him and I miss him a lot," the proud new dad told a fan outside Beauty & Essex restaurant in Hollywood on Tuesday night.

The One Direction star is currently in the US working on new music.
