Love Island: Liberty and Jake have final date before their “big decision”

Jade Hayden

Who let them go on that boat?

Liberty and Jake will have their final date tonight on Love Island before revealing their “big decision” to the rest of the islanders.

The pair called quits on their relationship last night when Liberty became upset after Jake told her “everything’s all about you, isn’t it?” and criticised her messiness.

Saying she wanted someone to “love me for me,” Liberty told Jake she wanted to end it and expressed her desire to leave the villa.

But before that can (potentially) happen, the pair need to go on their final date. Yes, really.

Ahead of the date, Jake says: “I think it would be silly not to go on a date. It’s entirely up to you.” So, they deice to go.

And naturally, the conversation is as painful as you’d expect from two people who have just (seemingly) broken up.

Once the boat, Jake says: “Here we are then. Our perfect date we’ve always spoken about. You look beautiful today.”

Liberty responds: “Thank you. You look nice as well.” She then says: “How do you feel?”

Jake responds: “It’s a tricky one really. I didn’t think I’d be coming on a date with the one I thought was the one. On my behalf I felt the affection died out. That’s a big thing for me and that’s nothing against you as a person.”

Liberty adds: “I don’t know what happened along the way but the spark just faded. I’m not going to lie – I did fall in love with you. And at one point I thought I had found the one but once the honeymoon passes you start seeing the cracks.”

Bless you, Liberty. Truly, bless you.

Once the pair are finished their date, they head back to the villa and ask the islanders to gather around the fire pit to announce their “big decision.”

What is that decision? We have no idea, but we’d put money on the two of them deciding to leave the villa together.

Whether to give things another shot or not, we don’t know – Liberty did seem to be wearing Jake’s bracelet once she returned to the villa in the preview for tonight’s episode, but this has yet to be confirmed or denied, so let’s just say they’re done, alright?

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on Virgin Media One.
