The most liked photo on Instagram is extremely bizarre and no, it’s not of a Kardashian

Well, this is surprising.

Until January 4, 2019, Kylie Jenner was on top of the leaderboard for most liked Instagram snap. The star who shared a highly anticipated photo of her daughter, Stomri Webster, back in February, 2018, was the reigning champ of the ‘gram until a very unexpecting photo took the title away from her last month.

Yes, now in top position is this photograph of an egg which looks like a stock image and shared by the account world_record_egg which surprisingly has one image and that’s of… the egg.

The egg which now stands at 26 million likes and growing is the most liked Instagram photo ever.

And in terms of most followed Instagram accounts, at the end of last year, Selena Gomez, who has remained the most followed star for over two years was replaced by Cristiano Ronaldo, coming in at 151 million followers to Selena Gomez’s 141 million.
