Tina O’Brien Is Returning To ‘Coronation Street’

Coronation Street bosses have revealed that a familiar face will be returning to the cobbles next year. According to Digital Spy, Tina O’Brien is set to reprise her role as Sarah Platt. Her daughter Bethany, who is now a teenager, will also be back on the street in spring 2015. Speaking about it, Tina said: “I am delighted to be returning. Sarah has a lot of history and unfinished business on the street and I’m looking forward to finding out what she’s been up to and why she’s returned home.” Sarah Platt's biggest storyline was her teenage pregnancy. While she might have plenty of unfinished business, bosses are keeping her comeback storyline under wraps. However they did say that her return will cause problems for her mother Gail. Tina played Sarah from 1999 to 2007, when she left the cobbles. Since then, the 31-year-old has had roles in Waterloo Road and Casualty.
