From Matthew McConaughey to Bradley Cooper – and of course Mr. Big!
We can’t help but get very excited for the new series of Sex & The City.
Just think of the fashion, the glamour, the storylines and the lovers! A lot has happened over the 16 years since the last episode of SATC aired on our TVs.
We know our leading ladies made quite the impact after the show aired and all continued to appear in the SATC movies, but what about our favourite guys?
We wanted to look back at some of the men of SATC and see where they ended up. We’ve also included some famous faces who made appearances over the years that you may have forgotten about, like Bradley Cooper and even Justin Theroux!
Mr. Big
Carrie’s main man, Chris Noth, went on to act in loads of other things, including The Good Wife. He also did a bit of theatre and he performed in Broadway’s 2011 revival of That Championship Season.
Noth has appeared in all the Sex & The City movies so far, so we’re hoping for a return for the new series. He’s happily married Tara Wilson in 2012 and they share two kids: Orion and Keats.
Aidan
John Corbett, who played one of our favourite guys on the show, Aidan Shaw went on to act in a few other TV series and also found some success in film. He’s appeared in The Boy Next Door and the To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before franchise, and he also reprised his role as Ian in 2016’s My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2.
Corbett has since released two country music albums too. Who would have thought, Aidan, a country music singer!
Harry Goldenblatt
Evan Handler, or Charlotte’s Harry as he would also be known, has popped up in a few TV shows, one of his main roles being in the hit series Californication.
Handler also moved into writing and authored his second book, It’s Only Temporary, in 2008. He also served as a regular contributor to The Huffington Post.
Steve
Miranda’s love, Steve, or David Eigenberg as he’s known in real life was cast as Lieutenant Christopher Herrmann on Chicago P.D., Chicago Med, Chicago Justice and Chicago Fire.
He’s also had a few roles in films including Liz & Dick and Five.
Smith
Jason Lewis was in both SATC movies and found success on a few other TV shows over the last few years.
He starred in Midnight, Texas after SATC, but he also had recurring roles on Brothers & Sisters. Jason proposed to his fiancé, Liz Godwin in February last year.
Stanford Blatch
Standford, whose real name is Willie Garson, had a big role in White Collar, playing Mozzie. He also landed other major TV roles on Whole Day Down, Hawaii Five-0 and John from Cincinnati.
Matthew McConaughey (playing himself)
Matthew played a very excited version of himself on the show when Carrie went to LA, when he was trying to turn her columns into a movie. His star has only continued to rise since his cameo on SATC, starring in Dallas Buyers Club and Wolf of Wall Street and let’s not forget Magic Mike!
Jake
When he appeared in SATC, Bradley Cooper was virtually unknown. Believe it or not his role as Jake in the show got him his first ever acting credit.
He’s since gone on to take up leading roles in a lot of films we love like A Star Is Born with Lady Gaga. He was also in Wedding Crashers and The Hangover just before he started to become a leading man.
All we can say is bring Bradley Back for the new series, please.
Jared and Vaughn
Justin Theroux actually played two different characters in SATC. In season 1 he played Jared and in season 2 he played one of Carrie’s boyfriends, Vaughn Wysel.
After SATC, he went on to star in Six Feet Under and The Leftovers. He also dated Jennifer Aniston from 2011 to 2017.
Keith Travers
Remember when Vince Vaughn made an appearance in SATC? Vince played Keith Travers, a man who Carrie met on her trip to LA.
He’s become a household name since appearing in the hit series, starring alongside Jennifer Anniston, Rachel McAdams, Owen Wilson and so many more over the years. It’s funny to think we can barely remember him in Sex & The City.
We can’t wait to see what gorgeous guys the reboot has in store for us!
