Ah, now.

A few weeks back, Michael from Love Island made a total dick of himself.

He then proceeded to do an assortment of questionable things that made him look even worse, much to the delight of Amber who was, in all respects, glad to see it.

The pair seemed to be done and dusted, as Amber expressed her anger towards Michael’s actions and became increasingly upset by how he was treating her.

Then, Joanna left, and it it appeared that there was still something lingering between the pair.

Even though there absolutely, really shouldn’t be.

During last night’s instalment of the show, Michael decided that he was going to speak to Amber about how he was feeling.

The episode ended on a cliffhanger before he strutted over there and attempted to ruin her life again.

“The situation that I am in now has given me time to clarify a few things in my head. It’s given me time to think and realise ‘I do like Amber’,” he admits tonight.

“I can only apologise about how I was over the last few weeks. I’m just letting you know that I do still like you.”

Amber is, understandably, shocked by Michael’s admission.

“I don’t get it,” she says. “If you liked me the whole time, why would you do that? Would you still have done this if she [Joanna] was still here?”

Michael says: “Yes. I would have to have this conversation. I knew that I still liked you. I just kept denying it to myself.”

Nah sorry mate, calling bullshit on that, tbh.

There is absolutely no chance in hell that Michael would have the above chat if Joanna was still in the villa.

C’mon, like.

Amber doesn’t appear to see it that way though, and instead appears relieved that Michael has told her what he did.

“I actually cannot believe what is happening!” she says. “I cannot believe Michael of all people, pushed his pride to the side and said how he really felt.”

Nah, girl.

You can do better. Please.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on Virgin Media Two.
