Looks like we could be one step closer to a Fresh Prince reboot

At least, according to DJ Jazzy Jeff

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air could be the next show set for a comeback.

DJ Jazzy Jeff admitted that there has been plenty of talk about bringing the beloved sitcom, which originally aired from 1990 to 1996, back for a potential revival.

He told The Sun: “There have been talks with people about doing something. I think it would be cool if they did it and go down memory lane again.

“It’s a blessing to be part of something that people still hold in high regard. You can’t beat that.

“It’s hard for people to keep their attention span normally, but to be able to keep it for all these years and transcend generations, put their kids onto it, this is deep.”

The cast fuelled speculation of a potential series reboot earlier this year after Will Smith, Alfonso Ribeiro (Carlton Banks), Tatyana Ali (Ashley), Karyn Parsons (Hilary Banks), Daphne Reid (Vivien Banks), and Joseph Marcell (Geofferey the butler) were all seen together 20 years after the show’s final season.

And despite previously saying he thought the revival would only happen “when hell freezes over”, it looks like Will Smith hasn’t lost his love for the series – after all, he was willing to give the famous theme tune a shot as Gaeilge.

Her wanted to see how the actor would fare with the first paragraph of the song – and luckily, he was up for the challenge.
