Louise and Jamie Redknapp have filed for divorce after 18 years of marriage

Very sad news.

After months of speculations, Jamie and Louise Redknapp have decided to file for divorce. The couple's marriage began to strain after Louise's appearance in Strictly Come Dancing. She was hit by the 'Strictly curse', but not in the traditional sense. She didn't start a romance with another celebrity or her dancing partner, but, instead, she found a new hunger for the limelight. It made her want to rebuild her career and relaunch her music. However, this put a strain on their relationship and Louise ended up moving out of the family home to rent an apartment nearby. Now, months later, the couple have decided to file for divorce, The Sun has revealed. A source has said:

"They have come to a mutual agreement that divorce is the only option. Louise has filed the paperwork and there’s no going back.”

Jamie has yet to comment at all on the split, but Louise has spoken a few times in recent weeks about how she felt like a Stepford Wife in the relationship. Numerous sources have said that she felt Jamie wasn't supportive of her career and wanted her to stay at home to mind the kids. Even though she worked throughout the marriage, Strictly has made her even more focused to boost her profile and career.
