Love Actually is on TV tonight and that’s the rest of our night sorted

‘Tis the season, after all.

December marks the start of many things.

It’s the time for the halls to be decked; the twinkling lights to get strung around the house and All I Want For Christmas to be basically played on a loop for 20-some-odd days.

And, of course, spend the month watching our favourite Christmas movies for the seven-millionth time.

If Love Actually is your go-to festive film, we have have good news: it’s on telly tonight.

In case you have never see the movie before (in which case, you are really missing out), Love Actually follows ten interlinked stories of people searching for – and finding – love.

While the newly elected, bachelor British prime minister is smitten by a junior staff member at 10 Downing Street, a heartbroken writer heads for France to get over a failed relationship, and a faded rock star aims to reinvent himself in time for Christmas.

Richard Curtis’s romantic comedy stars Hugh Grant, Martine McCutcheon, Emma Thompson, Alan Rickman, Colin Firth, Bill Nighy and Liam Neeson.
