Love Actually’s on the telly tonight (again), and probably will be from now until Christmas

Jade Hayden

Because it’s a Christmas film.

You know?

It’s a festive time of year, which means that although we are inevitably going to have to spend the next three weeks of our lives jammed into pubs that we don’t want to be in, we can also choose not to do that and stay in and watch lovely Christmas movies instead.

One of those movies is Love Actually – and it’s on telly every single night from now until December 25, probably.

Directed by Richard Curtis and starring pretty much every single British actor you can think of, the film tells the simultaneous stories of a load of couples as they navigate life, love, and Rowan Atkinson wrapping presents.

It’s got everything you could possibly want from an iconic Christmas movie: an amazing cast, Bill Nigh singing, Andrew Lincoln actually speaking in his English accent, and an outstanding performance from Emma Thompson.

The film has been delighting audiences every since it first arrived in cinemas – and although this is absolutely the 10th (or 27th) time we’ll be seeing it this year alone, we will still naturally be cancelling every single one of our non-existent plans to watch it tonight.

Cheers.

Love Actually is on ITV2 tonight at 9pm.
