Love Island: All you need to know about Irish contestant Catherine Agbaje

Clodagh McKeon

Finally, it’s back!

The tenth season of Love Island will be back on our screens tonight from 9pm.

This Summer series is set to be very different than previous ones with viewers told to “expect the unexpected”.

Creative Director of the reality show, Mike Spencer said the show is set to be turned on its head.

Speaking outside the villa in Majorca, he said: “Things won’t be where you originally think they’ll be and there will be new twists and turns along the way.

“I think we’re really trying to keep it fresh and exciting so people don’t know. Especially for the islanders, if you’ve watched the show, historically, you kind of know where things are placed so we want to change it all up.

“We try and freshen up that format every series. This series, we’re kind of turning the show on its head a little bit so you can expect the unexpected.

“Hopefully we just keep people on their toes and you won’t expect it.”

Among the ten singletons announced for this series is Dubliner, Catherine Agbaje.

She is the only Irish contestant announced in the original cast but fingers crossed, we will see some more enter the villa as bombshells or in Casa Amor.

However, until that happens, we’ll be cheering on Catherine as she steps inside the Love Island villa doors to find love.

Here’s everything we know about our Irish gal.

Catherine is 22-years-old and originally from Dublin but is now living in London.

After graduating from Maynooth University with a degree in psychology, she obtained a master’s degree in Real Estate Development and Investment from the University of Greenwich.

Catherine now works with a south London real estate firm.

The Dubliner likes to share her luxurious life with her 11,000 Instagram followers.

She often jets off on holiday to stunning locations around the world including Dubai, Greece, Cancun, Miami and Punta Cana.

Just last month, Catherine shared videos of her partying with American rapper, Kodak Black in Miami.

Now, she’s entering the Love Island villa in the hopes of finding the love of her life.

She said she can chat the ears off of anyone and is looking for someone fun with a “loving character”.

Catherine said: “They know I have so much love to give. I’m always smiling, I’m always happy, I’m always laughing. You’ll always see me with a smile on my face.”

When asked to reveal something that others may not know about her, she said: “My teeth are real, people always think they are veneers! I had braces when I was younger.

“I have two degrees, I have my undergrad and my masters in Psychology and Sociology and Real Estate.”

Impressive girl. We cannot wait to see her rock the villa later on.
