Love Island viewers critical over producers’ hand in impending argument

Tonight’s episode looks explosive – but are the producers to blame?

Throughout the current season of Love Island, viewers have been quite vocal in their criticism of several aspects of the show’s production.

For instance, many felt that the postcard sent to the ladies from Casa Amor was manipulative and unfair.

Last night, fans grew frustrated with the show’s producers once more, as the snippet for tonight’s episode showed an explosive argument between Faye and Jake.

Several viewers have predicted that the fight has been engineered, particularly after Priya’s one-on-one before she left.

Throughout the episode, it was quite apparent that Faye was concerned over whether her fellow islanders voted for her and Teddy as an incompatible couple.

Adding fuel to the fire, however, was Priya. Shortly after it was announced that she would be leaving with Brett, the medical student pulled Faye aside for a chat, which is uncharacteristic of the show’s format.

Out on the terrace, Priya assured Faye that she’s rooting for her and Teddy, and, as far as the  voting is concerned, they didn’t vote for them as least compatible.

The confession didn’t go down well with viewers at home. Many felt that Priya had been advised by production to pull Faye aside in order to stir the pot.

This revelation, combined with Faye knowing how many votes she’s received, is likely to play a role in tonight’s argument with Jake.

The first look at the upcoming episode shows Faye confronting Jake, and blasting him for not being genuine towards Liberty.

Previously, Love Island aired Faye losing her temper with Teddy, which saw the show attract a record number of Ofcom complaints.

Many viewers felt that the producers should have stepped in and intervened for the sake of the islanders’ mental health.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on Virgin Media One and on the Virgin Media Player.
