It's all over. Jucie has come to an end, Joe has been dumped from the villa, and Lucie has been left crying alone in the hallway because Amy has turned everybody else against her. It's an upsetting time for all involved, except for the audience, who are excited to see the surfer flourish and finally get to be herself. Or she'll just leave because she legit has no mates now. Time will tell. Before all of that unfolds this evening though, we've got the fall-out of Joe leaving to deal with. What will sandwich boy do next? How much has he been craving a big chicken tikka? Will he go for butter or mayo? All of these questions will, unfortunately not be answered anytime soon because Joe is currently hauled up in a safehouse being briefed about the backlash against him. As well are all aware, over the course of the show, Joe exhibited controlling behaviour towards Lucie, asking her to stop hanging out with the boys, telling her he couldn't trust her, and just generally upsetting her. Joe attempted to make amends last night but it was too late and he was booted off the show by the public... the same public who have been critical of his gaslighting and manipulative behaviour this whole time. And according to The Sun, Joe is currently being briefed about all of that criticism and backlash as we speak. "Joe has been in the safehouse since leaving the villa," a source told the publication. “There has been a backlash against him and as part of ITV’s new duty of care, they’re doing everything they can to help him deal with it when he comes out.” Joe has yet to respond to this backlash directly, however he did stated upon his departure that he was hopeful that he and Lucie will work on the outside. He also stated that he would wait for her. Whether she'll wait for him is another question.
