“We have had a fantastic journey and we will always have a special bond between us.”

Love Island’s Kaz and Tyler have issued a joint statement confirming their split.

The couple, who met on the 2021 show, confirmed their split on Instagram this morning, saying that they will continue to support one another, but that their romantic relationship has come to an end.

“We are extremely sad to announce that we have decided to end our romantic relationship,” they said.

“We have had a fantastic journey and we will always have a special bond between us. We will continue to be very much in each other’s live and support each other in every way.”

“We are so grateful that we have shared this Love Island experience with each other and we will continue to support each other’s careers,” they went on.

“Life since the villa has been amazing, but it’s taking time to adjust to a new normal in the public eye. This part of the journey hasn’t been easy for us but we’re learning.

“Thank you to every single person who has supported us, we appreciate you more than you will ever know.”

Out of the four finalist couples, Kaz and Tyler are the first to split. Millie and Liam, 2021’s winners, are still together and have moved in with each other, as have Chloe and Toby who came in second place and Faye and Teddy who came in third.
