Madam Tussauds has responded to criticism of its awful Beyonce waxwork

Poor Queen B.

This doesn’t sound right.

Beyoncé has had a bumper week, between revealing her newborn twins in spectacular fashion on Instagram and being named the highest paid artist of 2016.

But something she probably isn’t buzzing about is her new waxwork figure that’s just been unveiled at Madam Tussauds in New York.

Of course, immortalising Queen B must be a high-pressure task, but really? This?

It looks like the the people in charge of this simply dipped into a bucket of half-melted spare parts in the store room, stuck them together and hoped for the best.

Aside from the fact that this looks nothing like Beyoncé, some have called out Madam Tussauds for whitewashing the singer.

Now, the attraction has responded to the public outcry at the waxwork with a statement.

“Our talented team of sculptors takes every effort to ensure we accurately colour match all of our wax figures to the celebrity being depicted. Lighting within the attraction combined with flash photography may distort and misrepresent the colour of our wax figures.”

Hmm… we’re not convinced, especially since these talented sculptors appear to have form here.

As this Twitter user pointed out, it looks like they’re just guessing what she looks like.
