It’s been revealed that Peyton Reed will be taking on Marvel’s Ant-Man in replacement of Edgar Wright, who dropped out of directing following alleged disagreements with the company.

The news was announced by Marvel over the weekend, who also said that Adam McKay would be stepping in to write the script.

Reed’s previous film works include Yes Man, Down With Love and The Break-Up. Here’s what Marvel say about the plot:

“Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world”.

Actors Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, Michael Pena and Patrick Wilson are also among the film’s cast.

Ant Man is scheduled for release on July 17th, 2015.
