Mary Berry reveals the thing that drove her mad about the Bake Off

Harsh but fair.

You can see her point of view.

The moment Mary Berry decided that she wasn’t continuing with the Great British Bake Off, our enthusiasm for the show waned.

It just won’t be the same without her and we’re not sure anyone can fill her shoes when the show moves over to Channel 4 later this year.

Anyhow, it seems there’s one thing Mary won’t miss and that’s the contestants who let their emotions get the better of them.

In a recent interview with Radio Times, the 81-year-old explained her frustration saying that in life you can’t just burst into tears.

Although you might want to, crying just isn’t an option on television according to Mary and we’re inclined to agree with her.

While she acknowledged that life can be tough and get on top of us all, you “have to gather yourself up and keep going”.

Sensible advice from the presenter who will forever remain our GBBO queen.

Although it hasn’t yet been confirmed who will take on the role of co-presenter opposite Paul Hollywood, there are rumours that Prue Leith could be the chosen one.

To be fair, restaurateur, writer and food campaigner Prue, has plenty of experience and you can read more about that here.
