Matthew MacNabb and Laura Nolan are officially dating.
Matthew MacNabb has confirmed his relationship with Dancing With the Stars partner Laura Nolan after weeks of speculation.
The Love Island star, who was taking part in this year’s series of the RTÉ show, confirmed that he and Laura are dating following their departure from the competition on Sunday night.
“Me and Laura are dating. She’s my secret girlfriend,” he told RSVP.
“We’ve been dating the past month or two and it’s been good. I’m very grateful to the show.”
“We’re going travelling together to California, where I lived for two years, for a bit. Then we’re heading to my sister’s wedding in Florida.”
Laura, one of the series’ professional dancers, said that she didn’t expect to enter into a relationship while on the show. She said: “It just so happened that we got on so well… It wasn’t something I predicted would happen, it just happened so naturally.”

The pair have been sparking relationship rumours for the past couple of weeks due to their palpable chemistry on and off the dance floor. A few weeks back, Matthew said that he had “gotten close” to someone while on the show but didn’t confirm whether it was his dance partner or not.
The couple shared a kiss following their performance over the weekend. They were eliminated during Sunday’s show following a dance-off against Erica Cody and her partner, Denys Samson.
“I feel gutted to be honest because we’ve had such an amazing journey and to fall one hurdle close to the final is annoying,” Matthew said after the show.
“But do you know what, it was an amazing journey and I’m very grateful for what it has given me.”
Northern Irish Matthew appeared on the 2021 series of Love Island. He initially found a connection with Kaz before calling quits on their relationship as she got closer to Tyler.
