As we all know, there is due to be a Friends reunion in February to honour the director,  James Burrows. However, it has now emerged that Matthew Perry can’t make it.

He’s set to star in a play in London in February. So there won’t actually be a full reunion with all the cast after all. He will probably feature in a pre-recorded segment, but he can’t be there with the other five.

A rep for the actor told Daily News, “Matthew will not be attending as he is in London in rehearsals for his play, ‘The End of Longing,’ which begins previews on February 2nd at the Playhouse Theatre. NBC executives were aware of this prior to their TCA announcement yesterday.”

When NBC made the announcement about the reunion chairman Bob Greenblatt did mention, “I’m hoping all six of them will be all in the same room at the same time, but I’m not sure if we can logistically pull that off.”

We live in hope that he can still make it in between rehearsals.
