Meghan Markle is producing her own Netflix series

She’s making a comeback to our screens.

You heard that right, Meghan Markle is set to produce a brand new Netflix series.

The Duchess of Sussex will be the executive producer on a new animated series for the streaming service that centres around a young girl “on a journey of self-discovery.”

The new show, Pearl, is aimed for families and follows a 12 year old girl who gets inspired by other influential women in history.

Produced under her and Prince Harry’s Achewell Productions, they aren’t the only two big names getting on board ,with Elton John’s husband David Furnish also being an executive producer.

Meghan said in a statement: “Like many girls her age, our heroine Pearl is on a journey of self-discovery as she tries to overcome life’s daily challenges.

“I’m thrilled that Archewell Productions, partnered with the powerhouse platform of Netflix and these incredible producers, will together bring you this new animated series, which celebrates extraordinary women throughout history.

“David Furnish and I have been eager to bring this special series to light, and I am delighted we are able to announce it today.”

Netflix are grabbing the royals while they can with a docuseries coming based on the sports competition that Harry founded for the wounded, ill and injured members of the army.

This series will follow one group as they make their way to the Invictus Games in 2022.
