Mel B Reportedly ‘Axed’ From The X Factor

Mel B will NOT be returning to The X Factor panel this year, that is if reports this morning are to be believed. It seems Simon Cowell has axed the former Spice Girl after just one series of the show, despite the fact that viewers liked her honesty and straight-talking approach. A source allegedly told The Sun newspaper: “Bosses are evolving The X Factor and it has been decided Mel won’t return.” Another insider said: “Simon and the producers are now looking for a replacement for Mel. “If they fail to find a suitable candidate there is a very small chance she could be back.” Rumours about who is going to be involved in this year’s series have been swirling for months and no doubt will continue to swirl. So far the only thing that has been confirmed is that host Dermot O’Leary is being replaced by Olly Murs and Caroline Flack. As for the panel, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini looks set to return while Louis Walsh has hinted that he wants to return to management.
